Jiejia Held The Brand’s 180th Anniversary Celebration

Jaeger-LeCoultre, the top Swiss watchmaking brand, is the official partner of the 70th Venice Film Festival. On the evening of September 2nd, a grand dinner was held at the Venice Opera House in Venice. Guests gathered together to celebrate the 180th anniversary of the brand.

 The Venetian Phoenix Opera House has a wonderful sound effect. In the 19th century, many world-famous opera composers Rossini, Bellini, Verdi made their premiere here and became famous. Almost at the same time, the legendary genius Anthony Lecourt of Ru Valley, Switzerland founded the Jaeger-LeCoultre workshop, bringing together many outstanding watchmakers under the same roof to create unprecedented high-quality pocket watches. 19th century antique timepieces inspired Jaeger-LeCoultre watchmakers to create the Jubilée 180th anniversary series. This collection contains three innovative timepieces, perfectly highlighting Jaeger-LeCoultre’s passion for supreme quality and technological innovation.

 As part of Jaeger-LeCoultre’s 180th anniversary, Jaeger-LeCoultre invited Eric Serra, the world’s top soundtrack master, to bring the legendary history of the brand to music. Eric Sierra visited the Jaeger-LeCoultre workshop in Ru Valley, and watched with the watchmakers the subtle sound of clocks, and then re-written his work for Luc Besson’s film The Fifth Element The original vocal ‘Diva Dance’ has created an innovative Italian opera aria ‘Lucia di Lammermoor Lucia’ for the 180th anniversary of Jaeger-LeCoultre. The opera uses modern stage technology and adds a playful nod to represent the ticking sound of fine watchmaking. Eric Serra’s performance rendered a charming atmosphere for subsequent timepieces.
On this special occasion, guests will have the opportunity to appreciate the rare 10 Hybrids Mechanica large-scale complication watch series. The display of these excellent timepieces has also been designed by the theater, and needs to be viewed from the center of a huge clock gear. The watchmaker who came from Ruya Valley to show their exquisite skills personally, guests can see for themselves how a gem-set timepiece is completed. In addition, Jaeger-LeCoultre exhibited for the first time a timepiece with miniature paintings on a sapphire mirror: the Master Tourbillon Enamel Tourbillon Enamel. The dial of this watch is painted with an enamel pattern that symbolizes longevity. The crane is surrounded by enamel green leaves painted on the sapphire mirror, which is beautiful.
